Gerontophilia is the love of the elderly, especially in terms of sexual attractions. Gerontophilia occurs in both men and women, but when it occurs in men, it turns out to be more dangerous. Gerontophilia describes a specific sexual inclination towards the elderly and may at times explain the sadistic attacks made upon them.

Symptoms of Gerontophilia

Some general signs or symptoms of gerontophilia are as -

• obsessive personality
• a history of enuresis (incontinence) until the age of 25
• a lack of interest in younger woman
• an inability to contain impulses
• a tendency to be sexually aggressive and violent
