In male erectile disorder a male is unable to maintain an erection throughout sexual activity.

The problem occurs when this lack of response happens persistently and on a regular basis for more than 25 percent of the time. With male erectile disorder, intercourse is difficult or impossible.
Causes of Male Erectile Disorder
It can be due to psychological or a combination of psychological and physical factors, and it can occur in most or just some settings.
The disturbance causes marked distress or interpersonal difficulty. Hardening of the arteries and high blood pressure can damage blood vessels and interfere with blood flow to the penis. Smoking is a major risk factor for these conditions as well as for ED.
